US Mail – Live Bird Shipping Information

US Mail

Our shipments go through the US Post Office. Birds are hatched on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and occasionally Thursdays, and they are delivered to our local post office for mailing the same day they hatch. Arrival is typically 1–3 days after shipping.

When the birds arrive at your local USPS office, the post office will call the phone number you provided when placing the order. It is normal to pick up your birds at the post office. The sooner they get home to eat and drink, the better.

Ground Advantage, Priority & Express Mail Shipping

Unless you request Express Mail and pay the surcharge during checkout, we ship all birds using the best USPS option available for your location. This ensures the safest and fastest delivery possible.

Tracking Numbers

Typically, live birds are not scanned frequently throughout their transit. You can use the USPS website to check the most recent scan location. Often, packages are only scanned upon acceptance the day they are mailed and again when they reach your post office.

If your tracking shows a location such as San Jose, CA as the last scan, it does not mean the package is still there—it simply means that was the last time USPS scanned it. You may also choose to have text message tracking updates sent to your mobile phone.
