White Pekin Ducks
$8.00
Pekins are the most common duck and a very good dual- purpose bird. They are the primary commercial meat duck breed in the United States and many other parts of the world. They are a fast-growing, large-framed, hardy breed that produces a carcass that is easier to clean than those of other ducks. Calm in nature, they have an excellent feed conversion ratio and are highly fertile. However, they are not very good natural sitters. An incubator is recommended for successful hatching. Pekins are domestic, meaning they cannot fly. All our ducks can be kept as pets except the Mallard.

Pekin Ducks for Sale
The Pekin Duck is the most common and widely raised duck breed in the world and is considered one of the best dual-purpose ducks available. Originating in China in the 1800s, Pekins are the primary commercial meat duck in the United States and many other countries due to their rapid growth, large size, and excellent feed efficiency.
Pekins are a fast-growing, large-framed, and hardy breed, reaching an impressive average weight of 8 pounds by just 7 weeks of age, and 9–13 pounds at full maturity. Their body structure produces an easy-to-clean carcass, making them a top choice for meat production on both small farms and commercial operations.
In addition to their meat qualities, Pekin ducks are also strong egg layers, producing 150 or more extra-large eggs per year, typically white or pale blue in color. They are calm, friendly, and easy to manage, making them suitable for backyard flocks as well as production settings.
Pekins have an excellent feed conversion ratio and are highly fertile, though they are not strong natural sitters. For best hatch rates, the use of an incubator is recommended. As a fully domestic breed, Pekin ducks cannot fly, making them easy to contain and manage.
Recognized by the American Poultry Association (APA) and classified as a heritage breed, Pekin ducks combine productivity, temperament, and versatility. Like all of our ducks, Pekins can be kept as pets, with the exception of Mallards.
